Biographical / Historical
Robert Meredith commenced business at this site around 1887, operating a grocers until about 1910 before leasing it out to another grocer - Matheson's Ltd. Robert died in 1912 and it remained in the family up until 1923 when it was sold to Robert Hannah.
The three builidngs on this section were demolished in 1969 and replaced with a single shop for Hannahs (16 Tay Street).
