Dear Gordon, Dough sent your letter to us from England. Glad to hear you are all well. I wrote you a letter months ago but I don’t think you received it. You do not mention anything about receiving it in any of your letters. Yes Gordon I got a bit of a whang but it was not because I did not duck, it was because I could not get low enough. Old Fritz’s whizzbangs are flying about now. I hope He does not send any in this direction or I will have to shift. I suppose you

Dear Gordon, Dough sent your letter to us from England. Glad to hear you are all well. I wrote you a letter months ago but I don’t think you received it. You do not mention anything about receiving it in any of your letters. Yes Gordon I got a bit of a whang but it was not because I did not duck, it was because I could not get low enough. people are a bit anxious out there just now. Never mind, he will get it in the neck in the finish. I have not been able to get you any disolvers* yet but one never knows in this game. What is going to happen and I may have a chance yet. Annie and my boy seem to be getting on well. I would give a bit to be able to get home for a while but no chance of that for some considerable time yet. Bizz seems to be good yet in N. Z. The quacks in Gore seem to be having some fun too. Did you have any shooting

on New Years day? Youngan left us about three weeks ago to go into hospital and we have not had any word from him since. I think he must have had a touch of trench fever. Well Gordon I will have to do some more work, so excuse this short note. Thanks so much for the chocolate, which arrives every now and again. N. Z. chocolate is always appreciated out here. From your AFF Brother Bill Robertson 16585
