Harold Clarke started on the Manapouri Hydro Scheme as the Postmaster at West Arm/Deep Cove and worked through various parts of the project culminating in becoming the Administration Manager/Secretary on the Te Anau Lake Control Project.
This collection contains records from the Manapouri Hydro Development, including photos and construction reports written by Harold Clarke, as well as records regarding Harold's life before and after the construction at Manapouri. Included are newsletters that begin in 1939, written to family and friends throughout his life.
Also includes information Harold wrote about John (Jack) Beer of Luxmore, and two oil paintings of Harold and Jack.
