The quilt has a wide variety of images on it including horses, sheep, anchors, a person in traditional scottish dress and a british bulldog holding the british flag in its mouth. It also offers words of support. The images are signed with names or initials. The central date and title reads 1918 but numerous images/personal messages are dated 1917. Photographer unknown.

The coffin covered with (most likely) a flag, six men walking alongside the waggon (pall-bearers), a covered carriage carrying family and pulled by two horses with a top-hatted man sitting outside holding the reins, more Army personnel, and the mourners (all men)....
