This interview was recorded as part of the About Us Voices of Southland collection. In this interview John discusses and describes his family history, life on the farm at Boggy Burn, his education- particularly at Central Southland College, sporting interests and interest in music. After talking with the careers advisor John decided on a career in Radio. He talks of his career, which started in Dunedin, his return to Invercargill, his views on Southland and life here and the Southland Music scene.
