Dear Nurse Henderson, You will think I’m a long time finishing your gloves but as a matter of fact, I’ve had them finished for a few days now, and waiting on Nurse Linton to visit me, to give them to her, but now my sister-in-law’s mother (Mrs McIntosh) is in there so I’m giving her these to give to you. I do hope they fit you allright, and that you are pleased with them, it took the full 2 skeins to make them, the wool being fine and a much bigger glove, but I know you wouldn’t mind that, everyone here at home thought they were very nice. I’m up and about now, but get very tired. Doctor Johnstone calls every second day and is very pleased with me, so now, I just want some good sunshine and I will be fit in no time. How are the boils old dear? Hope they are gone by now. If you care about ringing me anytime the phone number

Wasn’t she a hard case, will you please give my love to wee Nurse McKay, Nurse Rowe, and Nurse Nunn, and kind regards to Mrs Woods, if you have a spare afternoon off, I would love you to call on me (just for a chat), 17 Teviot St, between Clyde and Nith Sts. Its an old house with a big monkey puzzle tree in front, (plenty of instructions eh)
