Annotaion on reverse of photograph reads:
1966 found by Barry Bain in the Bluff Library before the building was demolished. In the early 1900s this was the bandroom of the Bluff Navals Band.
This is probably the only surviving original photograph and frame of the first National Band of New Zealand 1903 (known as the Hinemoa Band).
