Dear Dorothy, I received an air mail letter card from you, dated 12th April, just about an hour ago, and was very pleased to hear from you. These air mail cards are just the thing as they do not have to be very long to reach us. You must have had a jolly good time up at Queenstown at Easter, and you seem to be doing a big line with Eddie. I suppose there would be a big crowd for the Regatta. We left here in a truck at eight o’clock and arrived at the Barrage at half past nine There were a dozen of us in the party and as soon as we got there we boiled the billy and had a cup of tea and sandwiches which we took with us. After that five of us hired a boat and had half an hours sailing round the Barrage on the jolly old Nile. About one o’clock we
