Joined Kingswell High School in 1979 as Senior Mistress, promoted to Deputy Principal then Principal. Also involved with the New Zealand Trades Certificate Board, Examiner for Pitmans Institute, New Zealand Commercial and Economic Teachers' Association (CETA) National President, New Zealand Post Primary Teachers' Association, Secondary Principals' Association of NZ (SPANZ), and Examiner for School Certificate.
