Overview Mrs Stoddart recalls in-depth her involvement in Civil Defence through training as a qualified instructor and the various situations she was involved with including the 1978 Mataura Floods, Mt Erebus disaster and the 1984 floods. Overview In this interview Isobel tells of her life growing up and living in the Mossburn area on a farm. She recalls getting electricity, the coal range and oil lamps. She learnt to play the piano and played the organ every second Sunday at Church. Isobel talks of meeting and marrying her husband and their 6 children and her interest in gardening and family recreational times. She recalls the community fundraising activities for the new Community Centre. In 1980 they moved to Queenstown.
