1.10 Father, worked at PHOSPHATE. Had a big VEG garden.

2.00 Mum stayed at home.

3.10 Dad had a flower garden.

3.20 Would listen to music on a GRAMOPHONE on a Sunday.

4.00 AFTER SCHOOL CLUB at Baptist church.

4.20 Sunday school and GIRLS BRIGADE at the CHURCH OF CHRIST

6.10 Born and lived in Yarrow Street. A HOUSING CORP house.

6.40 Street description and house description. She would do a lot of babysitting as there were lots of kids.

7.20 Played BULLRUSH.

8.40 Only went into town to the movies. Glengarry had everything.

9.30 Drapers, laundromat, Thomson’s Footwear, Post Office, Chemist and Round Table Restaurant. Dairy and Newsagents at Glengarry. Also Woolworths and butchers.

11.50 Thursday night used to be really busy.

12.30 Bought ceramic horses and comics.

13.50 Free SAV [saveloy sausages] from the butchers.

14.40 Would help carry FLAGONS home, and get a chocolate bar for it.

0.21 Parents would listen to RUGBY SONGS whilst kids in the lounge.

1.30 They knew all the people on the street. Was bullied.

3.00 Homemade biscuits.

4.00 Was very shy.

4.40 Lunch at home sometimes

5.20 Walked to school and home. Soup on the coal range in winter.

6.50 Walked to LITHGOW INTERMEDIATE SCHOOL.

7.50 Mr PERRATI was a teacher.

8.20 Her sister took MAORI language.

9.38 MISS KYLE was her first teacher at SURREY PARK.

10.00 Other schools also fed into Lithgow including HAWTHORNDALE

11.41 Participated in CHOIRS, FIDDLER ON THE ROOF, JOSEPH AND THE TECHNICOLOUR DREAMCOAT.

12.30 Went to JAMES HARGEST SCHOOL.

13.10 Had a dog, a CORGI CROSS called TIPPY.

13.30 Dad built him a kennel.

14.12 Dad died when she was in fourth form, and the dog had to go to a farm as they could not afford the registration.

0.10 Went to CAMP for girls brigade and came back to find both parents in hospital.

0.30 mum went to Dunedin for operation.

1.06 Father passed the next year.

5.00 Turned off the power to the flats.

6.12 About 6 kids would hang together and play.

7.20 Buying cigarettes.

7.50 Average student until her dad died.

9.00 Mum was devastated when dad died.

11.40 Glengarry less cool as they became teens.

4.15 Countdown put a bus on to go into town. This was start of Glengarry started to slow.

7.01 Likes to visit Glengarry market.

7.50 Thinks about moving back to the Glengarry area.

9.55 Skate park.
