01:24 Born in Invercargill in 1945 Educated at Waituna School Siblings, two sisters and a brother.

02:20 Travelled to school on horse back and then a horse and dray and finally by push bike on a gravel road. Head master Graham Elder for all his time at that school. He played the hand saw-description.

03:22 Marist High School, Invercargill for 18 months. Had to leave school at 15 to run farm as father was ill.

03:50 Animals on farm at Waituna. Dairy factory, pig’s antics. 04:55 David Brown tractor, 1945, Sly grogging, Jock Munro.

06:00 Marriage to Judith, Father dies, Farm sold, £35 for the Ayrshire cows. 06:50 1966, Lionel Lobb, birds, Living at Gorge Road The flood story.

08:00 Russell Nichol, Floods every year, Lambing, Scrubbing up logs when ploughing. 3 years there.

09:15 Moved to Mokutua. 90 acres, Jud ran farm. I worked for the rabbit board.

12:30 Moved to Kapuka. Eldest son still runs the place. 200 acres now.

13:00 Other son returns from Australia, start of contracting business. Equipment, Tractors, balers, silage Chopper.

13:54 Rabbit Board-Description of area, dogs, for 18 months, 1960s.

00:27 Gorge Road. Bottle store, 1966/7, butcher shop, hall, garage, community centre, Driver license-story Traffic cop, Lake’s corner. 15 years old

00:00 O’Connor contracting, Start up equipment, Baler, Sledge-description, small round bales, small square bales of hay-description. Garth Stewart accumulator, impaler. 10,000 bales, Round baler, Andy Baker- Story.

04:18 2013-45,000 big round bales,

04:35 Daughter, son-in-law, wrapping the bales, family affair. Distance travelled 20kms.

05:05 Kapuka and the new people from all over the world.

05:50 1976 bought the Kapuka farm-Story. Laying tiles, Cow sheds- Description.

08:00 Cow shed now, Once a day milking at 07:00 for 7 years.

08:22 House in Alexandra, Motor home. Motor Home Association.
