Overview

In this interview Mae recalls her early memories of home, farm, education, training to become a nurse and her nursing career. She worked as a nurse until her marriage. She also recalls in detail her memories of WW2 and how it impacted their region. Later she talks about social activities which included: all the shopping available in Riverton, movies at Orepuki, summer trains coming to Riverton Beach and the Tuatapere Sports Day.
