Overview
This interview is part of the Gorge Road Collection.In this interview Eileen and Donald discuss their early life and families growing up in Gorge Road District. Eileen recalls domestic life on the farm and resources needed with there being no electricity; farming practices, her education and sporting interests. Donald tells of the Gorge Road Village detailing the various shops. They also tell of the events/activities at the hall. Donald goes on to recall his employment first of all in sawmills and then at the Niederers Flax Mill. He describes the workings of both of these businesses.
