Overview

In this interview Andrena outlines her family history and how they came to own their property known as Glendreg. She tells how her parents met and started farming at Dipton later moving to Clifton. Her father worked on a gold dredge on the Waiau River. From Clifton the family moved to Cobden on the West Coast. After her father became ill, he was sent to Australia where he stayed for some time. Andrena and her family went to stay with an Aunt and Uncle at Cosy Nook. Andrena continues to retell the history of her family/siblings. She speaks of her marriage to Alan Reece and their children. Later in the interview Andrena tells of her education, playing basketball and joining Women’s Division after her marriage and her involvement in this organisation.
