Overview
In this interview Neville tells of family history, The history of gold mining and the timber industry around Orepuki and Tuatapere. He talks about rabbiting and his father’s work on the Rabbit Board as well as his mother’s work as a Librarian at the Orepuki Library for 38 years. He goes on to give a history of Orepuki and tells of recreational activities, Christmas Days, Birthday Celebrations, entertainment and the affects of WW2. He gives a brief history of Captain Howell, his life and achievements. Neville is related to Captain Howell and Kohi Kohi, through his mother.
