Overview This collection contains records from the Anglican All Saints Church in Lumsden. There is a register for baptisms covering 1890 to 1955, as well as minute books for 1891 to 1967.

Overview This interview covers David’s family history, his involvement in the Army in the pacific and his shift to Lumsden in 1946 where he went into partnership in the grocery store with Ray Pickering. Later this became Brown Brothers and traded for 40 years. There is a description of how this business operated and the addition of the rural mail to it. David describes his interests which include: his rugby career, driver for St John’s Ambulance, RSA, Senior Citizens, and Lions.

Overview Note that, as well as the oral history, there is a recording of Ian's memorial service included on the CD. Due to Ian's sudden death, the interviewer was unable to complete the oral history so the eulogies have been included to give some more information on his life.

Overview Thelma describes her early life and catching the Kinston Flyer to Balfour School from Lintley near Lumsden. She was man powered onto the family farm during WW2 and discusses these years and the depression years. Thelma talks of her: marriage, purchase of land near Balfour, family, involvement in country activities and interests in golf and gardening.

Overview In this interview Helen talks of her family history, life and education in Australia and her family’s love of music and her passion for ballet. She also looks at her sibling’s careers and marriages and her own career in physiotherapy.
