Overview
This interview is part of the "Discovering Glengarry’s Community Spirit" project. In this interview Ted talks of his early life on farms that his father worked as a labourer around Central Otago as well as his education and sports interests i.e., cricket and rugby. He goes onto to talk of his employment in forestry in Southland, Otago and South Canterbury. In 1970 Ted moved to Glengarry and he gives a snap shot of life in this area at this time e.g., children, neighbourhood support, socialising and schools. He discusses the effects on smaller businesses in the Glengarry Shopping Centre when the supermarket closed.
