Overview

This interview is part of the "Discovering Glengarry’s Community Spirit" project.In this interview Richard recalls his education in Dunedin and becoming a pharmacist and the evolvution of pharmacies to their current format. Richard eventually brought Glengarry Pharmacy. Richard also discusses the Glengarry community, it’s diverse makeup and activities e.g., Elephant Races, Baby Competitions and their contributions to the community i.e., paying for the carpark in front of the shopping centre. Oliveanne recalls being educated and employed in Auckland before meeting Richard at the Christchurch races, marriage and children. Oliveanne joined Richard in the pharmacy when the children went to school.
