Overview

This interview forms part of the 1984 Southland Flood Collection and is a topic based interview and was recorded following the 25th anniversary of the flood. Daphne undertook a support roll through Red Cross. There is a description of the history and purpose of Red Cross. She covers the collection and distribution of food, clothing and bedding as well as describing the daily Civil Defense meetings. Brian was a Housing Corp Building inspector and assessed damage to the flooded homes and he gives a description of the damage and areas affected.
