Contents Note
Information kindly provided by David Donaldson (Bookbinder)22/06/2010: The photo was taken between 10 May 1884 and 16 April 1885. I base my conclusion on the following. On 14 April 1884 fire broke out in the premises of R. D. Yule and Co Tay Street. The building was destroyed. On May 10th Yule opened in a temporary premises in Howsons building, nearly opposite the old site. There is a building with a partly visible sign that reads R.D. Temporary. On or about 16th April 1885 Yule opens a new building on the site of the old one. In May 1885 Yule sells his Drapery business to Herbert Haynes and Co.
