Summary

Workers from the N.Z. Express Company Limited line up outside their building with their horses and carts. To the right of the image the delivery vehicles that are replacing the horses are visible. This building is on north west corner of Kelvin and Don Streets (Block LXXI, section 12).

Biographical / Historical

This building was taken over by H & H Bus Company, and more recently was known as the former ANZ and ASB Building. In 2020 it became the temporary home to both the Invercargill Public Art Gallery and the Southland Museum and Art Gallery.
