Overview
In this interview Graham recalls early family life in a family of 9 siblings in the Grasmere/Waikiwi area of Invercargill. He reflects on education, his father’s occupations, family holidays, being part of the Southland Jet Boat Club and the family’s passion for sports. He describes family meals e.g., Sunday night scones and toastie pies, Tuesday shepherd pie, Fish ‘n’ chips Friday. He goes onto recall going to the movies at the Embassy, Majestic and Regent Theatres and the mode of transport was by bus. Brought K Bars to eat during the movies.
